New Ford Fiesta to get an excellent fuel economy rating

Available in 5-speed manual and automatic, the Fiesta could rival its Japanese counterparts if the stock turbo kit is included. Small sedans and 5 door hatchbacks with turbo's seem to be quite popular these days, especially in the younger generation of car buyers.

While EPA fuel economy estimates aren't in, reviewers expect the Fiesta to get an excellent fuel economy rating. Ford says the Fiesta should net 30 miles per gallon in the city and 40 miles per gallon on the highway. If those numbers are correct, the Fiesta would nearly match the fuel economy in the Smart ForTwo, and beat the fuel economy in the Toyota Yaris.
