The latest Audi models are numerous, including the A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, Q7, Allroad Quattro, RS4, R8, S4, S5, S6, S8 or the TT. The Audi A8 is one of the current full size luxury models made by this famous subsidiary of Volkswagen. The model was launched in 1994 and has been a great success. It was meant to replace the V8 and one of the most amazing features is the all wheel drive. Ever since its launch, the A8 has been improved and the Second Generation of A8 appeared in 2004. It is available in a 4 door sedan as well as in the coupe model.

The Audi S8 resembles the Mercedes Benz AMG models, but shares many common features with the Audi V8 engine and some A8 features. The S8 was introduced in 2001, while the Second Generation came in 2006. The Second Generation S8s feature a Volkswagen D3 platform, have a 6 speed transmission and have a four wheel drive layout. The magazine reviews of the S8 have praised this model

The car is diesel powered and had a TDI turbo diesel engine. The R10 has a more developed technology so as to make the car more suitable for a competition and to make it a sure winner. It surpasses the possibilities and of the R8, while the size of the engine is smaller. The aerodynamic style makes this racing car more up to date with the latest racing trends. And did you know that it is said that the R10 can reach the speed of 354 kilometers per hour?

Our prediction is that we're about to enter the "early majority" phase of Everett Rogers' Diffusion of Innovations theory. Say what? It's during this stage that innovations (i.e. hybrid technology) take off. It's at this point that many of the people who said they'd never buy a hybrid somehow end up staring at a Google results page for "How Hybrids Work".

The Storm is Brewing. Gas prices are nearing 6 month lows, and at the same time - record oil prices and $100 barrels of crude are in the news. People aren't going to stop driving...but they will start looking for ways to avoid the $75 fill up.

Besides the Prius, hybrid vehicles are currently scarce. At the same time, the 2008 models are about to come to the rescue, including more Highlanders, Escapes, Vues, Camrys, and Altimas...and let's not forget about the long awaited Tahoe and Yukon and Durango. Manufacturers are rolling out the hybrids, and more are coming.

Green is Queen, and About to Become King. Only 6 months ago, you could go all week without reading or hearing about how we can save the environment. Now, I seldom go a day without seeing several stories. (A quick jump over to the MSN homepage

All New 2010 Audi A5

One of the newest additions to Audi's line of luxury vehicles is the Audi A5, a two-door sport coupe. Originally introduced with a standard six-cylinder engine, the A5 has received a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine for 2010. The new 2.0 liter engine produces 211 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, compared to the 265 horsepower 3.2 liter V6 with 243 lb-ft of torque that was the only option for the 2009 A5 and remains an option for 2010. Both engines can be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the four-cylinder also has a six-speed manual option.

The new four-cylinder engine, called the 2.0T by Audi, also provides better fuel economy than the V6. With a manual transmission, the 2.0T is EPA rated for 22 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg combined. The automatic transmission drops the fuel economy to 21 city, 27 highway, and 23 combined. The six-cylinder engine improved in fuel economy over the last year; it now is rated for 18 city, 27 highway, and 21 combined (compared to 17/26/20 for the 2009 model). With a 16.9 gallon fuel tank, the 2.0T manual has a range of 422.5 miles, while the 2.0T auto can go 388.7 miles between fill-ups and the V6 is good for 354.9 miles.

One of the highlights of the new 2.0T engine is its impressive torque. It produces more than the V6 engine, and it peaks very low in the car's RPM range. The 2.0T gets to 258 lb-ft of torque at just 1500 rpm, which has left reviewers in awe of the driving experience. Great performance is a requirement for this car, as Audi has stiff competition in this segment from the BMW 3-series and the Infiniti G37 coupe, both of which have more powerful engines.

With a length of 4.63 m, the Audi A5 supercars clearly belongs to a superior class of coupe. Four comfortable seats and a load volume of 455 litres make this car a comfortable long-distance tourer. The dynamic performance is supplied by FSI and TDI engines with rated power ranging from 125 to 195 kW (170 to 265 bhp). All engines share highly eco-friendly and efficient characteristics.
