The Volkswagen New Beetle was the cute car that started the fashion for retro-futuristic design, which remains strong.

Front-wheel drive Volkswagen New Beetle is available as a two-door sedan and a two-door convertible. Options include larger wheels and a rear spoiler. Power comes from a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that generates 170 horsepower. Transmission choices are a five-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic.

 

From 1998-2005, the base engine was 115 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder. Until recently, turbocharged gasoline engines are an important part of the alignment of cutting the New Beetle.
